With increased understanding of the role of immune system in virtually every disease, it is presently a great time to be involved in immunology.
The Immunology Interest Section encompasses the interests of those who provide both clinical and laboratory services for patients with diseases resulting from disordered immunological mechanisms. Areas of focus, expertise and advocacy for the Immunology Interest Section include: inborn errors of immunity, autoimmune diseases, laboratory assessment of immune function, and immunomodulatory therapies.

Dr. Vy Kim is a Clinical immunologist and Allergist at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where is a director of the Immunology clinic, co-director of the Advanced Immunodeficiency Management (AIM) clinic and co-director of the Food Immunotherapy (FIT) clinic. She has a Master of Science in Community Health in Health Practitioner Teacher Education and is the Program Director for the Paediatric Clinical Immunology & Allergy subspecialty residency program at the University of Toronto, which is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
