As an accredited provider\, the CSACI has approved this program and it is valued at 1.25 Section 1 Maintenance of Certification credits.\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Learning Objectives\nBy the end of this session\, participants will be able to: \n\nDescribe diagnostic criteria for FPIES in pediatric and adult patients\nIdentify burdens of FPIES related to nutrition and feeding\nDescribe treatment management of FPIES\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Guest Speaker\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Dr. Sara Anvari ​\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				As the Director of Clinical Trials for the TCH Food Allergy Program\, Dr. Anvari has been an advocate for food allergic patients and has helped develop and bring the latest food allergy clinical trials to Texas Children’s Hospital. \nIn addition to her strong interest in preventing and treating all forms of allergic and immunological conditions\, Dr. Anvari has established subspecialty clinics focused on treating patients with food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES)\, COVID vaccine allergies and penicillin allergy delabeling. She is committed to improving the quality of life for infants\, children and adolescents with allergic and immunologic disorders. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Moderated by Dr. Jennifer Protudjer\, PhD​\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Dr. Jennifer Protudjer PhD is the Endowed Research Chair in Allergy\, Asthma and the Environment; and\, an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health\, University of Manitoba; a research scientist at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba; an epidemiologist with the Clinical Trials Platform at the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation; Section Head\, Allied Health\, of the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; and\, sits on the steering committee for Canada’s National Food Allergy Action Plan. She also holds an adjunct professorship in the Department of Foods and Human Nutritional Sciences\, University of Manitoba\, and is an affiliated researcher at the Karolinska Institutet\, where she completed her post-doctoral training. Her primary research interests include environmental risk factors for\, and societal consequences of allergic disease\, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
